Men have creatively come up with ways to apply cologne for better results over the years; however, not all of them are effective. Here are a few ways that we at LaBelle like to apply cologne, as well as a few methods we recommend avoiding:
- Shower First
- Applying to clean skin has its benefits, but showering in hot water also opens the pores in the skin, allowing the cologne to get in deeper.
- Pulse Points
- Check for a pulse in your neck and wrists, then apply in that exact spot. Cologne responds to warmer points on your body better than others.
- Spray From a Distance
- Spraying without distance leads to overapplication. Consider spraying 3 to 6 inches from the skin.
- Reapply
- Throughout the day, reapply the cologne on the wrists.
- Try Out a Few
- Grab a few different scents to give a little variety
- Use Higher Concentration Scent Types
- Top 3
- Parfum - 20-40% perfume oils
- Eau de Parfum - 15-20% perfume oils
- Eau de Toilette - 10-15% perfume oils
